Hershey Inn & Suites, part of Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company, seeks a House Person to maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. The role supports the opening team of the Hershey Inn & Suites, delivering excellent guest service and ensuring a spotless environment.

Normal hours and weekend work apply; benefits include free Hersheypark admission after ID, discounts, medical/dental/vision coverage from the next month, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and clean all carpeted areas and floors, including public spaces and offices.
• Maintain and detail all public spaces, walkways, offices, bathrooms, and lockers.
• Extract and shampoo carpets in public areas and guest rooms.
• Perform high/low dusting and polishing.
• Collect trash throughout guest spaces and offices.
• Move and rearrange furniture as needed.
• Deliver clean/dirty linens to and from linen rooms.
• Assist guests with luggage and respond to guest requests.

Located just minutes from the Park, Hershey Inn & Suites features 130 rooms including 7 suites, complimentary continental breakfast, an indoor pool, arcade, and fitness center.

The House Person at Hershey Inn & Suites ensures an organized and high level of cleanliness in all guest rooms, public and heart-of-house spaces.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Vacuuming all carpeted areas and sweeping and mopping floors, vending areas, public stairwells, elevators, and office spaces.*
• Maintaining and detailing all public spaces, walkways, offices, dining outlets, bathrooms, and lockers, including employee areas.*
• Extracting and shampooing public areas, guest rooms, and office carpets.*
• Completing high and low dusting and polishing.*
• Collecting trash throughout the guest public spaces and offices across the property.*
• Moving and rearranging furniture.*
• Loading and unloading delivery trucks.*
• Delivering clean/dirty linens to and from floor linen rooms.*
• Performing heavy or out-of-reach work for housekeepers in guest rooms.*
• Completing guest request calls.*
• Assisting guests with luggage.*
• Performing all other duties as assigned.*

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• This position requires successful completion and passing of the post-offer employment physical exam.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Professional guest service attitude, well-groomed, professional appearance, and self-confidence.
• Self-motivated and capable of working alone.
• Ability to understand and communicate instructions, both written and verbal.
• Experience operating a Scissor Lift, Extractor/Shampooer, High/Low Speed Buffer/Floor Striper, or qualified ability after completing training.
• Comply with company and department grooming standards and policies.
• Must have the visual ability to meet our very high cleaning standards.

Job Demands

• Normal working hours are 8AM-4:30PM, 8:30AM-5PM or 9AM-5:30PM; Monday thru Sunday; working weekends and holidays are required.
• Adhere to company uniformed dress code. Proper slip resistant footwear to be provided by employee.
• Considerable walking and pushing/ pulling of linen carts is required.
• Ability to safely use chemicals in and around the workplace meeting OSHA standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, handling, stooping, reaching, lifting and repetitive motions.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required
• Constantly (67 – 100% of time): Stand, Walk, Reach forward, and Balance
• Frequently (34 – 66% of time): Lift (0-20 lbs), Push (0-10 lbs), Pull (0-10 lbs), Stoop, Kneel, Crouch, Handle Objects, Grasp and Operate controls
• Occasionally (1 – 33%): Lift (21 – 50 lbs), Carry (11 – 50 lbs), Push (11 – 20 lbs), Pull (11 – 20 lbs), Climb Stairs, Reach Overhead, and Crawl
