Job summary

The Lodge at Torrey Pines, operated by Evans Hotels, is seeking an experienced Houseperson to support Room Attendants in delivering spotless public areas and well-stocked linen rooms. You will ensure proper supplies, assist in linen distribution, and uphold safety standards while working at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA.

This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends, with a focus on friendly, professional service and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
• Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
• Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
• Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented demeanor, especially under stress.
• Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods, up to the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.

• Maintains all public areas impeccably clean by adhering to our department's high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensures Room Attendants have supplies and equipment necessary to perform their job.
• Prepares the linen for shipping and receiving and is responsible for its distribution.
• Maintains property linen rooms and Room Attendants' carts well-stocked and orderly.
• Collects soiled linen from checkout rooms when instructed by Supervisor.
• Performs window cleaning of guestrooms adhering to productivity standards.
• Works in accordance with set safety standards and practices.
• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
