Job summary

The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Houseperson to support guest room preparation, cleaning and restocking to uphold our iconic standard. You will help ensure rooms are ready for new guests and maintain a clean, neat environment throughout the property.

Built in 1893, The Pfister is a landmark in Milwaukee. The role requires physical stamina and a professional, courteous demeanor to deliver gracious service in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• Must have the stamina for repetitive manual tasks.
• Experience in guest room attendant or similar housekeeping roles preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Professional appearance and courteous manner expected.

Responsibilities

• Service stay-over rooms, changing linens and replenishing amenities.
• Thoroughly clean check-out rooms with attention to detail.
• Perform bed-making, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, dusting, trash removal, and amenity restocking.
• Restock supply cart for the next day.
• Assist with team projects and perform additional duties as needed.

What you will be doing:

• Ensure prompt, superior service to guests.
• Service stay-over rooms, changing linens and replenishing amenities.
• Thoroughly clean check-out rooms, paying attention to detail.
• Perform bed-making, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, dusting, trash removal, and amenity restocking.
• Restock supply cart for the next day.
• Assist with team projects and perform additional assigned duties as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays and the ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in the same or a similar position such as a guest room attendant, cleaner, or other housekeeping, cleaning in hotels, hospitals, casinos or residential are preferred.
• Physical stamina to complete repetitive manual labor tasks.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to represent the company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, stretch, and use a vacuum and push a cart on a regular and extended basis.
