Job summary

Regis Corporation seeks a House Person to keep public areas clean, assist room attendants, deliver linens, and respond to guest needs. The role includes cleaning carpets and floors, handling light maintenance, and supporting housekeeping operations.

You will also help with snow/ice removal when required, assist with baggage and front door duties, and ensure safety and appearance standards are met at all times.

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; push and pull 100 pounds.

• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.
• Assist room attendants with heavy items and deliver linens and supplies.
• Collect trash throughout the hotel and respond to guest requests for supplies.
• Shampoo carpet, strip and wax floors, and steam clean ceramic tile regularly.
• Assist guests with front door and baggage unloading.
• Work with housekeeping and laundry operations as needed and assist with snow/ice removal.
• Adhere to safety standards and follow the Associate Handbook.

Position Title: House Person

Major Function:

• Responsible for the proper cleaning of rooms, halls, offices, and all public spaces; light maintenance duties and servicing guest needs.

Essential Functions:

• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times.
• Clean and inspect all public areas to ensure cleanliness standards have are met and that all areas are guest ready.
• Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and soiled linens. Deliver linens and necessary supplies to room attendants.
• Collect trash throughout the hotel including: room attendant's carts, vending areas, offices, trash receptacles, and restrooms.
• Respond to guest requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, cots, etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
• Shampoo carpet, strip and wax VCT floors, and steam clean ceramic tile throughout hotel on a regular basis.
• Assists guests with front door and in unloading baggage from vehicles.
• Assist in other minor maintenance tasks, such as cleaning filters, replacing light bulbs, checking pool chemicals, plunging toilets, changes batteries, etc.
• Assist housekeeping and laundry operations as needed.
• Assists with snow and ice removal as necessary.
• The ability to communicate with our guests in English is necessary to give them the service level expected.
• Ensures meeting room is set-up, clean and ready for guest use.
• Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds; push and pull 100 pounds.
• Wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the standards of appearance.
• Practice safety standards at all times and be alert to hazardous conditions. Report or correct any hazardous conditions immediately.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with Associate Handbook. Associate must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Associate Handbook.
• Other duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable of performing.
