Job summary

The Monarch San Antonio is seeking a Houseperson to support the housekeeping team in delivering a seamless, luxurious guest experience. You will assist Room Attendants, stock rooms, and maintain cleanliness throughout the property, including public and back-of-house spaces.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, prior housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred, and the ability to work in a fast-paced luxury environment with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and thorough in guest room cleaning and public areas.
• Able to work quickly while maintaining luxury standards.
• Clear basic English communication; additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends/holidays.
• Physically able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist Room Attendants with cleaning, stocking, and preparing guest rooms to luxury standards.
• Replenish guest room amenities, towels, and linen items as directed.
• Collect and transport soiled linens, trash, and recyclables to designated service areas.
• Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain public areas, corridors, elevators, and service spaces.
• Support turndown service and special guest requests as needed.
• Report maintenance issues, guest requests, and lost-and-found items promptly and accurately.
• Follow all safety, hygiene, and hotel SOPs.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, discreet demeanor with guests and team members.
• Support housekeeping operations during peak periods and special events.

Position Overview

The Houseperson supports the housekeeping department by ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, organized, and well stocked. This role is essential to delivering a seamless and luxurious guest experience by assisting Room Attendants and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and professionalism throughout the property.

What You’ll Do

Housekeeping Support & Operations

• Assist Room Attendants with cleaning, stocking, and preparing guest rooms to luxury standards.
• Replenish guest room amenities, towels, and linen items as directed.

What You’ll Bring

Required Education
