Job summary

Bernardus Lodge in Carmel Valley, CA is seeking a House Person to support Forbes 4-Star standards by maintaining cleanliness and anticipating guest needs. You will transfer linen, assist room attendants, and keep all closets organized.

Qualifications

• Six months related housekeeping experience.
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Must provide valid documentation to work in the US.
• Must meet legal age requirements.
• Demonstrated commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to manage priorities and multi-task.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
• Basic English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport linen between housekeeping storage and room attendant closets.
• Clean assigned guest balconies, front and back.
• Strip all departure rooms, take dirty linen and trash out.
• Maintain exterior of all guest rooms.
• Organize room attendant linen closets.
• Maintain proper par stocks of supplies and linens.
• Report deficiencies to Housekeeping Management or Engineering.
• Maintain and clean the golf carts for daily use.
• Punctual, regular and reliable attendance is a condition.
• Support safe work habits and a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

OBJECTIVE:

The House Person performs cleaning duties to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and to provide a memorable guest experience through the anticipation of guest’s needs and providing exceptional service to support Forbes 4-Star Standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following reflects the essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned by the supervisor who may reassign duties and responsibilities at any time.

• Transport clean/dirty linen to and from Housekeeping main closet to room attendant closets.
• Clean assigned guest balconies, front and back.
• Strip all departure rooms which includes taking all dirty linen and trash out of the room.
• Maintain exterior of all guest rooms.
• Maintain and organize room attendant linen closets.
• Maintain proper par stocks of supplies and linens in linen closets.
• Helps maintain guest rooms by reporting any deficiencies to Housekeeping Management or Engineering.
• Maintain and clean the golf carts for daily use.
• Punctual, regular and reliable attendance is a condition for continued employment.
• Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment at Bernardus Lodge ranges from winter time lows of 20 degrees to summer time highs to 100+ degrees. While performing these duties the employee may be exposed to outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
