Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD is seeking a Catering Houseperson to set rooms for events, assist guests, and maintain clean storage areas and equipment.

The role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with prior banquet setup experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work banquet events at various hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to carry large and heavy banquet equipment.
• One year of experience as Banquet Set-up Person at a hotel or convention center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set rooms and events according to the BEO specifications and Supervisor instructions.
• Handle guest requests in a friendly manner; request assistance of the Set-up Supervisor or Banquet Manager as needed.
• Ensure all storage rooms are clean, organized and secure.
• Ensure that all unused rooms are clean and clear.
• Ensure proper maintenance (cleaning and repair) of all equipment.
