Job summary

The Founders Inn & Spa, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, invites enthusiastic individuals to join its Housekeeping team as a Houseperson. The role involves supporting Room Attendants, keeping guest areas clean, stocked, and well-presented, and responding promptly to guest requests.

Applicants should be dependable, able to work independently, and comfortable in a fast-paced hotel environment. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Prev housekeeping, hotel, janitorial, or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute to the team.
• Able to read room numbers, dates, labels, and basic written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest room corridors, elevators, landings, vending areas, service areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Remove trash, debris, and other items from guest floors and service areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean designated areas according to hotel standards.
• Clean elevator interiors and tracks and maintain their overall appearance.
• Stock Room Attendant carts with linens, towels, amenities, and other necessary supplies.
• Transport linens, supplies, and housekeeping equipment throughout the property.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to Housekeeping leadership.
• Turn in lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.

Your Role

As a Houseperson, you will be an important part of the Housekeeping operation. You will help ensure our guest room floors, corridors, elevators, service areas, and behind-the-scenes spaces remain clean, organized, and properly stocked.

You'll also support Room Attendants by providing linens and supplies and respond to guest requests with the friendly, responsive service expected at a Hilton property.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest room corridors, elevators, landings, vending areas, service areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Remove trash, debris, and other items from guest floors and service areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean designated areas according to hotel standards.
• Clean elevator interiors and tracks and maintain their overall appearance.
• Clean doors, door frames, furniture, mirrors, pictures, air vents, lamps, signs, and other fixtures.
• Maintain clean and organized housekeeping closets, service landings, and storage areas.
• Stock Room Attendant carts with linens, towels, amenities, and other necessary supplies.
• Restock designated housekeeping closets and storage areas.
• Transport linens, supplies, and other housekeeping materials throughout the property.
• Make up and deliver cribs and rollaway beds according to hotel standards.
• Deliver requested guest items promptly and professionally.
• Assist Room Attendants and Housekeeping leadership as operational needs require.
• Maintain back-of-house flooring and assigned service areas.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, safety hazards, or unusual conditions to Housekeeping leadership.
• Turn in lost-and-found items according to hotel procedures.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and communicate guest concerns to the appropriate manager.
• Safely use housekeeping equipment, cleaning products, and supplies according to established procedures.
• Follow all hotel safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and Hilton service standards.
• Perform other reasonable Housekeeping duties as assigned.

Schedule & Availability

Hotel operations are open seven days a week, and scheduling is based on occupancy and business needs.

Candidates must have flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires significant movement throughout the hotel. Team members must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The position regularly requires:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Transporting linens, supplies, and housekeeping equipment.
• Lifting and carrying items associated with daily Housekeeping operations.
• Using floor-cleaning and other housekeeping equipment.
• Working on carpeted, hard, and occasionally uneven surfaces.

The position may involve lifting and carrying items weighing up to approximately 50 pounds, with heavier items handled using appropriate assistance or equipment.

Team members may work around cleaning products, detergents, equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels.
