Job summary

Grandover Resort & Conference Center in Greensboro, NC is seeking an experienced houseperson to maintain cleanliness in guest areas and public spaces. This is a full-time, hourly position with base pay of $15.00 per hour and on-site work.

Responsibilities include cleaning duties, linen handling, restocking supplies, safety and sanitation tasks, and effective communication via two-way radio. Applicants should have housekeeping experience and be physically able to lift up to 75 pounds; benefits

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or house person role.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform labor-intensive tasks.
• Flexibility to work shifts and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Vacuuming, mopping, changing out linen, restocking linen and supplies.
• Delivering items requested by guest or supervisors, such as linen, luggage racks, rollaway beds.
• Ozone’s, dehumidifiers.
• Addressing simple repairs in cages, hallways, and lobby areas.
• Ensuring safety and security environment for both staff & guest.
• Ensuring sanitation functions assigned within the floor facility.
• Emptying trash receptacles, cleaning tables, wall sconces, and mirrors.
• Supporting with other task as assigned by management or supervisory staff.
• Ability to communicate effectively using a two-way radio for incoming and outgoing transmissions

The award winning Grandover Resort & Conference Center is currently looking for an experienced and responsible houseperson to join our team. A hotel houseperson maintains cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the tower. Duties include stripping of linen from guest rooms, removing trash and ensuring cleanliness in common areas, such as the vending areas, lobby hallways and back of house spaces.

Hours: 8:30am - Finish

Requirements

Job Requirements/ Physical Fitness

• Work experience in housekeeping or as a house person preferred.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Physically fit and able to lift items 40 to 75 pounds. This also involves long hours on one’s feet, performing labor intensive task
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
• Able to work independently
