Job summary

Erickson Senior Living Highland Springs is seeking a Housekeeping Utility Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on campus. You will service hard floors, carpets, waste removal, and room setup for events, while supporting residents and team members.

This on-site role offers on-campus amenities, competitive hourly pay, and opportunities for growth as the community expands.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care and floor finishing equipment.
  • Experience in carpet care and floor finishing preferred.
  • CDL Class B with air brake endorsement may be required.
  • Must have a current and valid DOT Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, buffing and waxing.
  • Maintain carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, vacuuming.
  • Clean vertical surfaces such as doors, walls, or windows.
  • Remove trash including refuse and recycling by following procedures utilizing compactors, trucks, and carts.
  • Move and arrange furniture in the community common spaces and offices, as well as in residential apartments.
  • Deliver residents items to and from storage, vehicles, apartments or other areas.
  • Operate housekeeping equipment/vehicles in a safe manner.

Location: Highland Springs by Erickson Senior Living Join us as a Housekeeping Utility Worker at our growing community! In this role, you will maintain community cleanliness using specialized equipment, clean building areas, floors, and surfaces, set up rooms for events, handle trash removal, and assist with moving heavy objects—all while enjoying the convenience of staying on campus.

How you will make an impact

What you will need
  • Current and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
  • Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques preferred
  • May require a CDL class B, with air brake endorsement.
  • Must have a current and valid D.O.T. Physical/Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

Compensation: commensurate with experience, $15.00 - $18.00 per hour.
