Job summary

Erickson Senior Living is hiring a Housekeeping Utility Worker in Ashby Ponds. You will clean built environments, handle waste, and set up rooms for events, with no travel required. This full‑time role operates 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays.

You’ll use carpet and floor care equipment, maintain floors and carpets, and support moving heavy items. A driver’s license may be required and safety is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior carpet care and floor finishing experience is preferred.
• Safely operate carpet and hard floor care equipment and trash removal gear.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• May require a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.
• Safe driving history may be checked if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain community cleanliness using specialized equipment.
• Handle and dispose of waste properly.
• Set up rooms and furniture according to work orders.
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy items.

Job description

Location: Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living

Join our team as a Housekeeping Utility Worker, responsible for cleaning building areas, floors, and surfaces, setting up rooms for events, and removing trash. No travel required. Be part of a dedicated team committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

• Compensation: $17.50 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Full time- 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, plus rotating weekends/holiday schedule

How you will make an impact

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming

What you will need

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment.
• Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required
