Job summary

Ashby Ponds by Erickson Senior Living in Ashburn, VA, seeks a Housekeeping Utility Worker to clean community areas, set up rooms for events, and manage waste removal. The role operates with a standard daytime schedule, no travel, and contributes to maintaining high cleanliness standards across the community.

The position requires ability to operate carpet and hard floor care equipment and work independently while supporting a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in carpet care and floor finishing techniques is preferred
• Ability to safely operate carpet care equipment, hard floor care equipment, trash removal equipment, and any other equipment necessary for the cleanliness of the community
• Ability to work independently and as a contributing team member
• May be required to maintain a valid driver’s license as a condition of employment. Must have a history of safe driving as noted through a Motor Vehicle Record check, if driving is required Please note that specific state regulations and requirements may be applicable. These regulations take precedence over the requirements outlined in the job description.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the community through the operation of specialized equipment
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste
• Utilize work orders to ensure proper room/furniture setups
• Assist with movement and delivery of heavy objects/packages
• Remove trash including, refuse and recycling
• Maintain hard floor surfaces, including scrubbing, mopping, burnishing, stripping, and waxing as well as carpeted surfaces, including extracting, interim cleaning, spotting, drying, and vacuuming
