JOB PURPOSE:

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas within the housekeeping department including outside.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Clean and maintain back of house areas including hallways, stairwells, loading docks, storage rooms, grounds, garage and service areas.
• Operate and maintain carpet cleaning machinery and supplies
• Maintain cleanliness of public restrooms and common areas as assigned.
• Properly handle, store and use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure trash and recyling are collected and disposed of properly.
• Keep service areas organized, clean and free of obstructions.
• Ensure all doors, exits and walkways remain unobstructed at all times.
• Report maintenance issues or supply shortages to management promptly.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions as required.
• Keep storage areas neat, clean, and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends, holidays and different areas within housekeeping.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred (hotel preferred, although other environmental services positions will be considered).
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Good communication, time management, follow-through and customer services skills are required.
• Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous situations

ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:

• Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion.
