Job summary

Holland Hospital is seeking a full-time Housekeeping Services Specialist to perform various cleaning tasks, including hard surface cleaning, carpet care, and waste management. The role requires working 80 hours every two weeks, typically from 3:30pm to 12am, with flexible start times and weekend shifts every 5th weekend.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning patient care areas, rest rooms, offices, and isolation rooms.
• Removing waste and soiled linens.
• Maintaining the housekeeping cart and restocking the housekeeping closet.
• Performing hard surface floor care.
• Performing burnishing operations.
• Performing scrubbing and finish removal operations.
• Performing finish application.
• Performing carpet care procedures.
• Performing spot removal operations.
• Performing damp buffing, shampooing, and carpet extraction.
• Performing upholstery cleaning.
• Processing waste and linen in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Transporting general waste from collection points to compactor.
• Transporting medical waste from collection points to storage room.
• Transporting clean and soiled linen in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Performing spills clean up.
• Performing wall washing and window cleaning.
• Preparing conference center for meetings.
• Performing support functions as needed.

Job description

The Housekeeping Services Specialist works under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Services Group Leader and performs hard surface and carpet cleaning procedures, wall washing, and upholstery cleaning. Processes waste and linen. Performs other support functions as assigned.

Job Type: Full Time, 80 hours every two weeks.
Shift Length: 3:30pm‑12am (flexible start time if needed).
Weekend Frequency: Every 5th weekend.
Wage Range: $16.88–$23.64.
