Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Housekeeping experience preferred (1 year).
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

• Willingness to climb ladders and perform other duties.
• Knowledge of household tools and floor care equipment.
• Genuine caring for elderly and persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors.
• Clean resident rooms and common areas, and assist with events and activities.
• Use proper cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with set-up and clean-up of events/activities.
• Restock supplies and maintain housekeeping closet.
• Report repair needs to Supervisor and work with other staff on major projects.
• Work in Laundry as needed and assist admissions.

You’ll keep resident rooms and common areas fresh, clean, and sanitized, prepare rooms for new residents, assist with events and laundry, restock supplies, and help with special projects throughout the community. **Final compensation within the listed pay range will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, and will align with our established pay scale.**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Models a service attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better, is friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers
• Maintain a clean, disinfected, safe, and pleasant environment for all residents, families, employees, and visitors of The Outlook at Windhaven
• Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to clean assigned areas
• Assist with set-up and clean-up of events/activities
• Dust, clean and sanitize resident rooms, as i.e., deep cleaning and daily clean schedules)
• Clean and sanitize public restrooms
• Inventory supply cart and restock on a daily basis
• Maintain clean housekeeping closet at all times
• Report repair needs to Supervisor
• Work with other staff on major projects
• Work in Laundry as needed
• Make rooms ready for admissions
• Assist Laundry Techs as needed being able to work all areas
• Pull trash as needed
• Assist other Departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Housekeeping experience, domestic or commercial, preferred (1 year)
• Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as a team player
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritize tasks and know when to ask supervisor for assistance
• Willingness to climb ladders and perform other duties that require heights
• Ability to adapt to changes in procedures, as improvements are made
• Knowledge of household tools, floor care and other related equipment
• Ability to perform Essential Duties
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and persons with disabilities
• Ability to perform work tasks within the Physical Demand Requirements
• Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities
• Ability to comply with site and departmental safety policies and procedures

WORK CLIMATE:

• Position will work at the assigned facility, primarily inside climate-controlled building

• Self-paced, requiring the ability to work quickly and accurately in an often-times demanding work environment
