Penn Medicine is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper at Doylestown Hospital to maintain a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves supervising aides, supporting daily operations, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention guidelines.

Responsibilities include following a seven-step cleaning process, restocking supplies, reporting issues, and assisting with staff training.

Responsibilities

• Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areas. Cleans/disinfects items/surfaces including beds, tables, chairs, doors, walls, sinks, toilets, showers, drapes, curtains, ledges, vents, lights, furniture, telephones, wheelchairs, floors, and accessories.
• Restocks supplies, chemicals, and cart; reports cleaned discharge units via the Bed tracking System.
• Removes trash and replaces liners; segregates waste according to proper waste streams.
• Assists the Manager in the Day to Day operations of the Housekeeping Department; demonstrates knowledge in all areas.
• Identifies and reports broken or faulty equipment, safety hazards and patient safety risks; follows safe work habits.
• Participates in departmental meetings, required trainings, competency assessments, and seeks opportunities to improve performance.
• Follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize cross-contamination and infection risk; adheres to Hand Hygiene policy.
• Knowledge and expertise in cleaning all areas and tasks in the department, including specialized areas such as OR, Cath Lab, LDRP, etc.
