Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping professional to perform all housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean, and aesthetic environment at Doylestown Hospital. You will coordinate and supervise Housekeeping Aides and support daily department operations.

The role emphasizes adherence to infection prevention guidelines, hands-on cleaning of patient areas, restocking supplies, and assisting with staff training and workload management.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital housekeeping preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention guidelines.
• Ability to work with a team and support department operations.

Responsibilities

• Follows the 7 step cleaning process for all assigned areas. Cleans/disinfects items and surfaces.
• Removes trash and replaces trash liner and manages waste
• Assist the Manager in the Day to Day operations of the Housekeeping Department
• Identifies and reports broken or faulty equipment and safety hazards
• Actively participates in departmental meetings, trainings, and competency assessments
• Follows Infection Prevention guidelines to minimize cross contamination and infection risk
• Knowledge and expertise in cleaning all areas and tasks in the department
