Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts' Hotel Indigo Naperville Riverwalk is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the morning shift, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities include supervising Room Attendants, conducting inspections, training staff, coordinating with Front Office, and supporting cost-control initiatives. Flexible scheduling and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel, resort, or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning equipment, and hotel quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficient in hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing or walking for extended periods.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide feedback and support corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, OSHA standards, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with inventory control, linen management, supply ordering, and cost‑control initiatives.
  • Report maintenance concerns and coordinate with Engineering to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support the Director of Operations with departmental projects, payroll, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department during the morning shift. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces meet InterContinental brand standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. The supervisor leads, coaches, and supports housekeeping colleagues, conducts room inspections, and collaborates with other departments to ensure operational excellence.

The hourly range for this role is $23.00.
