Job summary

Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to administer and coordinate housekeeping across assigned sections in Toledo, Ohio. The role includes inspecting guest rooms, assisting Room Attendants, and training staff.

In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, you will assume managerial functions. Candidates should have 2–3 years in a hotel setting, a high school diploma, and preferably supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College course work in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Woodland Real Estate Group standards as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including uniform and name tag.
• Comply at all times with Woodland Real Estate Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Inspect staff's work performance within assigned section daily to ensure standards and productivity.
• In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, inspect VIP rooms and report availability to Front Office.
• Oversee the closing of the house, ensuring carts are clean and restocked with linen.
• Ensure records of daily assignments are completed and turned into Housekeeping Office on time.
• Maintain key control system and supervise all housekeeping staff.
• Submit documentation regarding poor performance, misconduct, absenteeism, lateness, and attire.
