Job summary

sms in Hebron Estates, Kentucky, seeks a janitorial worker to maintain clean, orderly premises for commercial and institutional buildings. You will assist with scheduling, handle administrative duties, and perform cleaning across rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and more.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate cleaning equipment, and follow safety practices. Prior janitorial housekeeping experience is preferred.

Summary:

Keeps premises of commercial and institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist Facility Manger with scheduling


• Assist with administrative duties


• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.


• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.


• Lifting chairs and place them over tables (approx. chair weight: 20-25 lbs.)


• Moving chemicals (5 gal buckets -- approx. weight 40+ lbs.)


• Moving tables (approx. weight 40+ lbs.)


• Operates different types of equipment (i.e. burnishers, scrubbers, pressure washer)


• Uses ManLift or ScissorLift Machine


• Washes windows, door panels, and sills

Education/Experience:

Prior experience in janitorial housekeeping preferred

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Computer Skills:

Basic computer skills desired but not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Supervision of shift responsibility, handling employee issues
