Job summary

HHS Environmental Services, LLC (USA) Wythe County Community Hospital is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the EVS team, ensuring a clean, safe environment for patients. This full-time role offers $17 per hour with evening and night shifts and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will oversee staff, conduct inspections, manage supplies, and assist with payroll and administrative duties while following cleaning procedures and delivering friendly service to patients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
• GED or high school diploma
• Experience as a supervisor preferred
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

• Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments

Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our housekeeping team! Support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital. Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
