Job summary

Tallassee Health and Rehabilitation in Alabama is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee cleaning staff and ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety practices within our skilled nursing facility.

You will supervise daily housekeeping tasks, train staff, monitor supplies and equipment, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents while demonstrating patience and compassion.

Qualifications

• Proven housekeeping supervision experience.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Oversees cleaning duties in assigned areas according to the cleaning schedule and safety procedures.
• Dusts, damp wipes, sanitizes and polishes fixtures, furnishings and surfaces in resident rooms.
• Monitors staff performance, trainings, and adherence to quality standards.
• Keeps inventory of supplies and ensures equipment is properly maintained.

Job description

We are in search ofHousekeeping Supervisorwithin our skilled nursing facility:

General responsibilities including but not limited to ensure staff complete:

Performs and oversees cleaning duties in assigned work areas as instructed, according to cleaning schedule for that area (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.), using approved cleaning agents and equipment, and following proper procedures.

Dusts, damp wipe, spot cleans, washes, sanitizes, polishes (as required) all fixtures, furnishings, and furniture in resident’s room, including TVs, radios, pictures, feeding tables, light fixtures, shelves, chairs, tables, beds and bed frames, night stands bed rails, and any other surfaces in the room and over door facing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous housekeeping supervision experience
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must have patience, tact, enthusiasm, and positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
• Must be capable of performing the ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS and PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL JOB FUNCTIONS
