Job summary

HHS Environmental Services, LLC (USA) seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor at Boston Children's Hospital Needham EVS to lead evening and other shifts, ensuring cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role oversees staff, conducts inspections, manages supplies, and supports payroll and admin tasks while upholding infection prevention and patient comfort with a teamwork focus and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Experience as a supervisor preferred.
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (healthcare, EVS).

Responsibilities

• Oversee team members and assign cleaning duties to ensure coverage of all areas
• Perform daily inspections and maintain quality control programs
• Manage supplies and ensure team members have the equipment necessary to complete job assignments
• Assist with payroll and administrative duties as assigned
• Assist with cleaning areas of the hospital as needed to ensure full coverage
• Follow all HHS cleaning procedures and best practices
• Provide friendly and kind service to all individuals in the hospital
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Housekeeping Supervisor

Wage: $19/hour

Full-time and part-time positions available

Support the housekeeping (EVS) department leadership to maintain a high level of cleanliness and consistency throughout all areas of the hospital.

Create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where patients can heal.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift
• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift
• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
