Duties and Expectations

  • Guest Relations: Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
  • Name Use: Use the guests' names whenever possible, ensuring they feel properly welcomed.
  • Guest Satisfaction: All Team Members work together to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores.
  • Recovery: Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
  • Hotel Knowledge: Know all features of the hotel and amenities.
  • Events: Support all groups and events at the hotel.
  • Technology: Understand relevant technology for the role.
  • Phone Etiquette: Answer calls courteously with the approved greeting.
  • Spotless Cleanliness: Keep all areas clean and organized.
  • Pitching In: Team effort in cleaning guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Hospitality While Cleaning: Greet guests cheerfully during cleaning.
  • Product Consistency & Quality: Complete checklists and handovers accurately and timely.
  • Uniform & Grooming: Wear a clean uniform, be well-groomed, and smile always.
  • Communication: Maintain clear, honest, and professional communication.
  • Can Do Attitude & Collaboration: Willingness to go beyond role expectations and work as a team.

SECTION TWO: Housekeeping Supervisor, Role Specific Duties and Expectations

The Supervisor manages cleaning operations, including guest rooms, public spaces, laundry, and assumes the duties of the Executive Housekeeper when absent. They also clean guest rooms and public spaces on non-supervisory days.

Other Duties And Expectations

  • Manage Guest Request Log and VIPs
  • Oversee Housekeeping Team and conduct daily meetings
  • Inspect rooms and public spaces for quality
  • Maintain organization of storage and cleaning supplies
  • Perform pre-cleaning duties and deep cleaning as needed
  • Manage inventory and supplies, and monitor maintenance requests
  • Balance room status reports and monitor lost and found procedures
  • Ensure chemical safety and key control

SECTION THREE: Success Metrics

Metrics include guest satisfaction scores, cleanliness checks, product quality, and teamwork evaluations.

SECTION FOUR: Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality or related field preferred; supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow guidelines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, listen and resolve conflicts, and communicate effectively.
  • Desire to serve guests; 18+ years old; flexible schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays.
  • Must clock in/out properly, take breaks, and give notice for absences.

Physical Demands & Environment

Must stand for long periods, operate equipment, lift up to 25 pounds, and inspect details visually.
