Job summary

BBL Lenox Hotel Group LLC is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee room, corridor, and public area cleanliness. You will ensure staff performs efficiently, inspect rooms, and report on cleanliness and maintenance needs.

The role requires versatility to cover shifts, including weekends and holidays. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and about a year of experience as a Room Attendant, with the ability to interact with guests professionally and maintain high standards of

• Strong guest service orientation and poise with customers.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Inspect completed guest rooms for cleanliness and rental status.
• Supervise housekeeping personnel to ensure timely, effective work.
• Complete a daily report on room cleanliness, rental status, and maintenance needs.
• Step in for Executive Housekeeper in their absence.
• May perform room cleaning or other duties as needed.
• Maintain flexibility in hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsible for all floors assigned. See that the Room Attendants have the proper and necessary equipment and supplies. Job requirements include high school diploma or equivalent with one year’s experience as Room Attendant. Ability to deal with guests and personnel with poise. Problem solving, reasoning, and training abilities. Reading, writing, mathematical abilities, including basic math. Must be unquestionably honest and dependable. Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting and carrying, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, bending and able to walk stairs. Carrying and/or lifting approximately 50 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 200 pounds occurs infrequently.Duties to include, but not limited to:Inspect completed guest rooms for cleanliness and rental status.Supervise housekeeping personnel to assure timely and effective completion of work assignments through proper instruction and inspection of completed tasks.Complete a daily report that indicates the cleanliness, rental status, and required maintenance work for his/her assigned rooms.Assumes duties of Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper in their absence.If needed will also clean rooms, inspect or whatever role is necessary for the day.This is a working position and hours must be flexible to meet the demands of the business. That includes weekends, nights, holidays etc.
