Excel Hotel Group in Huntington Beach, CA seeks a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to assist the General Manager in overseeing housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring product quality and top-tier guest service.

The role focuses on scheduling, training, inspection, and employee coaching to maintain clean, well-maintained rooms and public areas in line with brand standards and business goals.

Qualifications

• 1-2 housekeeping or janitorial experience required.
• 1-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for 8 hours in a day.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow verbal directions and complete tasks on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Schedules room cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage.
• Trains employees and ensures they have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their respective job duties.
• Monitors job performance and makes appropriate recommendations for disciplinary action when needed.
• Inspects all assigned rooms/suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.
• Advises employees of deficiencies and instructs on correct procedures.
• Responds to guest complaints and special requests ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Notifies management when par levels for supplies and equipment are insufficient.
