Job summary

Magnolia Houston Hotel is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to supervise, train and inspect the performance of assigned housekeeping staff, ensuring all procedures meet established standards and that guests receive optimum service.

You will oversee daily operations, assign tasks, review priorities, and ensure rooms and areas are cleaned to the highest quality, while supporting staff with training and guidance to maintain consistent cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, requirements and use of equipment.
• Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication.
• Ability to compute mathematical calculations and perform tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data.
• Ability to identify departmental training needs and provide training.
• Ability to direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

• Inspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, spa, pool area, offices, and service areas after cleaning by respective personnel, using designated checklists.
• Assist staff with their job functions where needed to ensure optimum cleanliness and service standards for guests.
