Job summary

HHS is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor for Bayhealth - Kent EVS, located at Bayhealth Hospital—Kent Campus. The role offers an evening shift, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, 16 hours per week, weekends only, with a wage of $24.30 per hour.

Responsibilities include supervising EVS staff, inspections, payroll assistance, and ensuring a clean, safe hospital environment. Candidates must pass background checks and be eligible to work in the U.S.; prior supervisor and housekeeping experience are

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.
• GED or high school diploma.
• Experience as a supervisor preferred.
• Preferred: Housekeeping experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, room attendant, floor care technician, hotel operations, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching continuously throughout a shift


• Pushing and pulling carts or equipment (over 100 lb.) on tile and carpeted floors continuously throughout a shift


• Must handle chemicals including bleach, wax, and disinfectants


• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
