Location Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for managing housekeeping functions in assigned sections and assuming all Housekeeping Manager responsibilities in their absence.

Responsibilities

1. Inspect Room Attendants’ work daily to ensure standards and productivity are met.
2. In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager or Assistant, inspect VIP rooms and report their status to the Front Office.
3. Oversee the closing of floors, ensuring carts are clean and stocked.
4. Complete and submit daily assignment records on time.
5. Maintain key control.
6. Handle Lost and Found items per standards.
7. Monitor cleanliness of carts, linen closets, and stairways.
8. Assign duties daily to Room and House Attendants.
9. Carry a pager/radio for communication with Front Office and Engineering.
10. Report progress on out-of-order rooms to Guest Services Manager.
11. Initiate repair work orders and follow up until completion.
12. Assist in training housekeeping staff.
13. May need to clean rooms as needed.
14. Ensure biannual cleaning projects are completed.
15. Maintain overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent; college coursework helpful.
2. Two to three years of progressive hotel or related experience preferred.
3. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
4. Ability to stand throughout the shift.
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills, friendly and courteous attitude.

Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
