A leading company in the hospitality sector seeks a Head Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness and operational efficiency of guest rooms and public areas. This full-time position requires prior supervisory experience, excellent communication, and good judgment in managing housekeeping staff. The ideal candidate will also handle invoicing for Lost and Found items and maintain staff attendance records.
HOURS: FULL TIME 37 - 40 hours per week - may vary according to occupancy.
Schedule: Variety of shifts, including hours between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., covering weekdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of guest rooms, public areas, hallways, and Housekeeping Rooms. Manages inventory of linens and glasses on a monthly basis and reports to the Executive Housekeeper. Performs "Head Housekeeper" duties as assigned, following daily housekeeping worksheets with good judgment. Communicates and maintains records of housekeeping employee attendance and tardiness. Conducts evaluations of housekeeping staff. Provides direction to Full-time Lead Housekeepers and other assigned Housekeepers, focusing on productivity and safety. Manages Lost and Found articles, including handling inquiries, shipping, packaging, and associated charges.
