Job Description

Position: Clinical Supervisor

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer or designee

Supervises: Psychotherapists

Schedule: Part-time (5 to 7 hours per week)

Type : Clinical

Comp. Rate: $75 individual supervision, $100 group supervision

Location: Remote

Travel: Ideally available for in-person staff meetups 2 to 4 times annually

Notes: 4 to 6 LSW supervisees to be assigned gradually over several months

Role Overview:

The Clinical Supervisor at Perez Therapy, LLC is responsible for providing weekly individual and group clinical supervision on a weekly basis for 4 to 6 Licensed Social Workers (LSWs) working toward clinical licensure in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. The Clinical Supervisor only provides clinical supervision towards PA LCSW licensure. All administrative supervision will be provided by a designated administrative supervisor. This position must immediately direct any clinical concerns to company management. The Clinical Supervisor will participate in ongoing and annual performance appraisals for psychotherapists under their clinical supervision.

Position Requirements:

• Master’s degree in social work, clinical concentration
• Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker: must maintain active in good standing
• Completes continuing education as required to maintain active PA LCSW
• Able to work remotely using teleconferencing to provide clinical supervision using video and audio mediums
• 5 years+ experience providing psychotherapy as a clinical social worker, professional counselor or marriage and family therapist
• Experience providing individual psychotherapy and has a subspecialty; such as, family therapy, couples counseling or child/adolescent therapy
• Must be able to provide documented clinical licensure supervision for up to 4 to 6 LSWs
• Strongly preferred: clinical experience with LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC populations, and a subspecialty with couples counseling, family therapy, group therapy

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides 1 hour of weekly individual supervision for 4 to 6 LSW supervisees and 1 hour of weekly group supervision these assigned LSW supervisees
• Permits non supervisees, clinical management and CEO to participate in group supervision, if desired
• Provides clinically-sound clinical supervision using evidenced-based psychotherapy practices
• Educates supervisees about assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions as specified in the DSM-5
• Guides supervisees with clinical case formulation through case presentation and didactic instruction
• Encourages holistic approaches of psychotherapy, which involve all aspects of an individual’s life and identities
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) for all clients
• Signs documentation on a routine (monthly, weekly) basis of licensure clinical supervision provided
• Reports any suspected child abuse to Pennsylvania Child Line within 24 hours of receiving the report and sends Phila Department of Human Services the required CY-47 form
• Ensures all incidents are reported to the CEO immediately upon being informed of any emergencies, malpractice, ethical issues, child abuse/neglect, professional concerns, or any other matter relevant to a provider’s practice in their professional field of licensure.
• Documents and provides clinical supervision for supervisees in standardized format as per agency policies
• Clinical competency with diagnoses and mental health conditions as specified in the DSM-5, clinical assessment and individualized treatment planning
• Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality of protected health information (PHI) for all clients
• Ensures all incidents are reported to the CEO immediately upon being informed of any emergencies.
