Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor directly supervises and coordinates work activities of the Housekeeping staff in the hotel.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Verify room status on A.M. report; report discrepant rooms; prioritize and update status of check-out rooms.
• Ensure staff report to work; document any late or absent employees.
• Coordinate breaks, prepare and distribute assignment sheets, and review priorities.
• Assign guest room keys and beepers, maintain records, and ensure security.
• Communicate changes to assignment sheets during shifts.
• Inspect supply levels, assign personnel for deficiencies, and check carts and rooms for proper supplies and cleanliness.
• Inspect rooms and public areas, relay deficiencies, and complete work orders or urgent repairs.
• Conduct staff training, provide performance feedback, and report disciplinary issues.
• Document information, complete paperwork, review assignments, and verify reports.
• Conduct night counts and follow departmental standards.

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of related supervisory experience.
