Job summary

Palmilla Senior Living in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead cleanliness and laundry operations across the community. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, and ensuring adherance to infection control standards.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of supervisory experience and 3–5 years in housekeeping, preferably in senior housing. The position includes on-site work with opportunities for growth and professional development.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in senior housing.
• 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with equipment, supplies and chemicals used for housekeeping and laundry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assures completion of all housekeeping and laundry tasks
• Assumes responsibility for general cleanliness of the building
• Monitors needed janitorial and maintenance work
• Monitors inventory of chemicals, supplies and equipment needed for laundry and housekeeping tasks.
• Communicates chemical, supply and equipment needs to Executive Director
• Maintains required records; notifies the Maintenance Director on observed maintenance issues and/or repairs needed
• Implements cleaning schedules of Residents' apartments, laundry, kitchen and common areas to assure completion of housekeeping tasks
• Performs housekeeping tasks, as assigned
• Provides laundry services as needed and/or directed
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures

• Working knowledge of equipment, supplies and chemicals used for housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Experience in working in a licensed care setting preferred.
