Job summary

North River YMCA in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to keep the facility neat and safe. The role includes duties in the women’s locker room and requires availability for night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, mopping, dusting, trash removal, window washing, vacuuming, and reporting issues to a supervisor. Prior related experience is preferred, with ability to read and follow instructions.

Qualifications

• Six months or more of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents, and document work as needed.

Are you interested in keeping our North River YMCA neat and tidy, to ensure the comfort and safety of others? As a Housekeeper, and an important member of our team, you will perform all pf the day-to-day cleaning services, including infemale locker rooms.

This part-time position for a FEMALE Housekeeper (doing some work in women's locker room) includes shifts on Nights & Weekends.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Ensure the cleanliness of the facility by completing the daily checklist
• Perform duties such as wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, seasonal activities dealing with lawn care and snow removal, and other general cleaning
• Record and report repairs as needed and report hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six months or more of related experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents, and document work as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Sufficient physical strength and agility to carry out essential duties of job
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Ability to work with cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
• Ability to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
• Must be detail oriented and exhibit a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to perform duties which may include: semi - reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
