Job summary

Heart of the House Hospitality is hiring experienced Hotel Housekeeping Room Attendants for our Washington, DC team. Responsibilities include making beds, changing towels, cleaning bathrooms, and addressing client queries to ensure inviting rooms.

The ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience and experience with industrial cleaning equipment is preferred. We offer a competitive salary starting at $18 per hour and various benefits including health insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Hotel Housekeeping experience required.
• Hotel Housekeeping experience in the Hospitality Industry preferred.
• Flexibility to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Change bed linen and make beds.

• Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift.

Hotel Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Review daily inventory of rooms, arrivals, and departures
• Review daily inventory of supplies needed to complete daily assignments
• Change bed linen and make beds
• Replace used towels
• Sweep and mop floors
• Vacuum carpets
• Dust furniture
• Replenish bath care products (e.g., soap and shampoo)
• Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
• Address guests’ queries (e.g., on additional services)
• Help guests retrieve lost items
• Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
• Follow hotel security guidelines

Housekeeping Requirements

• Hotel Housekeeping experience in the Hospitality Industry (preferred)
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products (preferred)
• Flexibility to work weekends
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
• Excellent organization skills
• Ability to follow instructions
• Minimum 1 year of Hotel Housekeeping experience (required)
