Job Description

Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant

Reports To: Executive Housekeeper

General Purpose: Cleans and prepares guest rooms and public areas by meeting established standards of cleaning to ensure guest satisfaction and the overall appearance of the property.

Responsibilities include:

• Retrieving items from shelves and storerooms, setting up cleaning carts, and maintaining organization.
• Cleaning windows, doors, walls, fixtures, and other surfaces to maintain cleanliness and presentation.
• Using ladders or stools for hard-to-reach areas.
• Cleaning bathroom fixtures, mirrors, and sinks.
• Restocking amenities and linens, ensuring rooms are prepared for new guests.
• Cleaning floors and dusting furniture and fixtures.
• Changing bed linens and checking for cleanliness.
• Inspecting locks and room equipment, reporting deficiencies.
• Securing equipment, keys, and supplies.
• Maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor.
• Assisting other departments as needed.
• Cleaning patios/balconies and other assigned areas.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions, communicate effectively.
• Professional appearance.
• Pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to maneuver a loaded cart weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, and get on/off floors regularly.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience preferred but not required.
