Role Overview

The Room Attendant will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in assigned guest rooms. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Executive Housekeeper, they will ensure rooms meet cleanliness standards and report maintenance issues to ensure compliance with OSHA and other standards.

Major Duties

• Check and stock housekeeping carts with supplies.
• Greet guests warmly and sincerely.
• Strip linens, remove amenities, and clean rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks.
• Report maintenance deficiencies.
• Replenish linens and guest amenities.
• Clean balconies, if applicable.
• Respond to guest requests for extra amenities or services.
• Follow verbal directions accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of cleaning procedures and supplies.
• Always represent the hotel positively; SMILE!

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for entire shift.
• Perform bending, reaching, stretching, and twisting.
• LIFT and carry 20–30 lbs repeatedly; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Push and maneuver carts across various surfaces.
• Bend, kneel, and squat regularly.
• Use cleaning tools like vacuums and mops.
• Climb stairs and use step stools as needed.
• Perform repetitive tasks with stamina and physical endurance.
