The Room Attendant will ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained within assigned guest rooms. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Executive Housekeeper, they are responsible for the overall cleanliness of rooms and suites, and for reporting maintenance issues to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

Major Duties

1. Check supplies in the housekeeping cart and restock as needed.
2. Greet guests promptly with friendly acknowledgment.
3. Strip dirty linens and towels, and remove amenities from rooms.
4. Clean assigned rooms, including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks. Report rooms as ready for occupancy.
5. Report maintenance deficiencies to maintain room standards.
6. Replenish linens and guest amenities.
7. Clean balconies, if applicable.
8. Respond to guest requests, such as providing extra amenities or services.
9. Follow verbal instructions accurately.
10. Maintain thorough knowledge of cleaning procedures and supplies.
11. Represent the hotel positively; always SMILE.

Physical Requirements

This role involves continuous movement, including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk throughout the shift, and lift 20-30 lbs intermittently during work.
