Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a qualified Housekeeper/Porter to join our team. The role involves maintaining resident rooms, dining areas, and common spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable facility, with duties including cleaning and assisting the laundry department.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, 18+ years old, ability to read/write English, and the ability to follow instructions and lift up to 50 lbs. Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak and read English for job requirements.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work assigned hours.
• Ability to physically perform job duties.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident rooms, dining rooms, offices, and all general areas by cleaning restrooms, walls, baseboards, doors, mirrors, dusting, removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and wiping tables/furniture.
• Strip and wax floors.
• Assist laundry department as needed.

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is looking for a qualified, hard-working and customer service driven Housekeeper/Porter to join our team.

Housekeeping/ Porter Job Description:

Must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the current Federal, State, and local standard guidelines and regulations governing the facility, and as may be instructed by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner, the candidate will assist the laundry department.

Housekeeping / Porter Duties include but are not limited to:

Maintain resident rooms, dining rooms, offices, distribute clean linen or as needed, pick up empty linen carts daily or as needed, and all general areas of facility by cleaning restrooms, walls, baseboards, doors, mirrors, dusting removing trash, sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables, furniture, and other duties assigned by management.
