Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a qualified Housekeeper/Porter to join our team in a hands-on role focused on keeping the facility clean, safe and comfortable for residents. The position includes daily cleaning tasks across resident rooms, dining areas and common spaces, with duties spanning from trash removal to linen distribution.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, be at least 18 years old, and be able to read and speak English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• LTC experience preferred but not required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to speak and read English for job requirements.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work assigned hours.
• Ability to physically perform job duties.
• Required to occasionally lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain resident rooms, dining areas, offices and general areas by cleaning and tidying.
• Distribute clean linen and manage linen carts as needed.
• Clean restrooms, walls, baseboards, doors, mirrors, and furniture; remove trash and sweep/mop floors.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is looking for a qualified, hard-working and customer service driven Housekeeper/Porter to join our team.

Housekeeping/ Porter Job Description:

Must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department in accordance with the current Federal, State, and local standard guidelines and regulations governing the facility, and as may be instructed by the Director of Housekeeping Services, to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe and comfortable manner, the candidate will assist the laundry department.

Housekeeping / PorterDuties include but are not limited to:

Maintain resident rooms, dining rooms, offices, distribute clean linen or as needed, pick up empty linen carts daily or as needed, and all general areas of facility by cleaning restrooms, walls, baseboards, doors, mirrors, dusting removing trash, sweeping, mopping, wiping down tables, furniture, and other duties assigned by management. Stripping and waxing

Housekeeping / Porter Requirements/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
