Job summary

Legacy Church Portales Campus is seeking a full-time Housekeeping team member to maintain clean, safe spaces across facilities. You will perform sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing, and restocking, with strict adherence to health and safety policies.

The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, physical stamina for standing and moving, and flexibility to work weekends and nights as needed. You will follow Legacy Church standards, operate cleaning equipment, and report issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and pull.
• Stamina to stand, walk, or kneel for long periods.
• Flexibility to work weekends and nights.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and motor skills.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, dust, and polish.
• Check stocking levels of consumables and replace as needed.
• Apply chemicals/solvents to surfaces for stain removal.
• Follow health and safety rules and Legacy Church policies.
• Move furniture and perform general labor for special projects.
• Operate cleaning machinery per protocol.
• Return calls, emails, texts within 24 hours.
• Report damages or safety issues to supervisor.
• Ensure rooms are cared for and inspected to Legacy Church standards.
• Address complaints professionally.
• Follow Legacy Church Handbook policies.

Housekeeping - Portales Campus (Full Time)

Primary:

• Perform a variety of cleaning activity such a sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company related practices
• Applying necessary chemicals and solvents to surfaces in order to easily and effectively remove stain and dirt
• Complying with all safety policies and procedures that are related to carrying out cleaning tasks
• Carrying out cleaning duties with the aid of necessary equipment
• Executing general labor activities for special projects such as furniture movement and other assignments as required
• Carefully handling and operating all cleaning machinery according to protocol
• Return all phone calls, emails and texts within 24 hours

Secondary

• Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits or safety issues
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to Legacy Church standards
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Follow the policies and procedures as defined in Legacy Church Handbook
