Job summary

Legacy Church in Lincoln, NE is seeking a diligent housekeeping team member to perform cleaning tasks, maintain a sanitary environment, and ensure safety protocols are followed. The role requires lifting up to 25 lbs, operating cleaning equipment, and weekend/night availability.

The successful candidate will help uphold Legacy Church standards, assist with projects, and respond promptly to communications while contributing to a clean and welcoming space for the congregation.

Qualifications

• Familiar with cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Demonstrates good hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
• Available to work weekends and nights as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing.
• Check consumables stock and replenish as needed.
• Strictly follow health and safety policies.
• Operate cleaning machinery per protocol and safety rules.
• Respond to inquiries and communications within 24 hours.
• Assist with general labor for special projects as required.

Job description

Primary

• Perform a variety of cleaning activity such a sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company related practices
• Applying necessary chemicals and solvents to surfaces in order to easily and effectively remove stain and dirt
• Complying with all safety policies and procedures that are related to carrying out cleaning tasks
• Carrying out cleaning duties with the aid of necessary equipment
• Executing general labor activities for special projects such as furniture movement and other assignments as required
• Carefully handling and operating all cleaning machinery according to protocol
• Return all phone calls, emails and texts within 24 hours

Secondary

• Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits or safety issues
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to Legacy Church standards
• Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
• Follow the policies and procedures as defined in Legacy Church Handbook

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Strong ability to pull and push work-related equipment, such as a loaded housekeeping cart over uneven and sloping surfaces
• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and pull
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, or kneel for a long period of time
• Ability to manipulate, turn, and grasp objects of different sizes and weights
• Strong hand-eye coordination and motor skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and nights as needed
