Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manages the operations of the housekeeping and laundry areas to ensure the achievement of departmental productivity objectives and service quality standards
• Inspects guestrooms, corridors and common areas daily to ensure cleanliness standards and proper amenity placement
• Inspects for needed repairs, reports maintenance problems and follows up to ensure work is completed
• Hires, trains, and provides career development for housekeeping staff; conducts performance evaluations
• Instructs housekeeping staff in proper performance of duties
• Schedules staff and work according to productivity standards and forecasted occupancy
• Ensures staff have supplies through inventories; orders and receives supplies
• Coordinates with the Guest Service Department to meet guest requests
• May perform housekeeping duties to ensure guest satisfaction
• Assists in developing and implementing annual budget information for this area
