Job summary

Duke University is seeking an Assistant Supervisor in Environmental Services to oversee cleaning across campus facilities. You will conduct monthly quality audits, ensure staff have the right supplies, and monitor performance while guiding disciplinary actions when needed.

You will collaborate with the Operations Manager and Sr. Supervisor, respond to customer cleanliness concerns, and support achievement of departmental goals set by the Director.

Qualifications

• Two years of progressive facilities management housekeeping experience.
• Two years as lead worker or acting supervisor.
• Valid driver's license required.
• REH/CEH certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleanliness across Duke facilities and perform monthly audits.
• Assist Operations Manager or Sr. Supervisor with staffing and task assignment.
• Provide staff with adequate supplies and equipment.
• Assist with payroll, time adjustments, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Attend leadership meetings and manage overtime/payroll tracking.
