Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: high school degree or equivalent.
• Experience: five years progressive experience in housekeeping operations or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
• Strong analytical, communication and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate housekeeping functions for assigned university buildings; plan complex housekeeping programs and schedules with proper distribution of assignments and resources.
• Recommend solutions for operational problems in work schedules and non-routine services; optimize personnel utilization and non-scheduled jobs.
• Develop policies for housekeeping operations; conduct meetings to ensure compliance with standards and training needs; monitor cleanliness levels and inspections.
• Support leadership trainings and on-site reinforcement of trainings with Operations Manager of Logistics and Training.
• Prepare periodic reports on progress, adverse trends, and recommendations.
• Oversee hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules; train supervisors and assistants to conduct audits.
• Coordinate building audits to ensure consistent cleaning standards and service levels across environmental services.
• Ensure safety, quality assurance and KPI compliance; communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders; assist Director with workload planning and special projects.
