Job summary

Proper Hospitality in Beverly Hills is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Housekeeping Manager in daily operations. You will lead, train, and supervise a diverse team, ensure guest rooms and public areas meet top cleanliness standards, and coordinate with front desk and maintenance to ensure smooth room readiness.

You will monitor safety, control costs, manage inventory, and drive guest satisfaction through proactive inspections and responsive service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff including Housekeepers, Room Attendants, and Supervisors.
• Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure timely cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
• Monitor cleanliness, order, and stock levels; conduct room inspections.
• Coordinate cleaning schedules, turnovers, and special guest requests.
• Address guest complaints related to cleanliness in coordination with other departments.
• Manage inventory, linens, amenities, and equipment to avoid overstock and waste.
• Assist in managing the department budget and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining standards.
• Ensure staff follow health, safety, and hotel policies, including PPE usage and chemical handling.
• Develop training programs for staff and promote teamwork and open communication.
• Collaborate with Front Desk and Maintenance to ensure room readiness and availability.
• Oversee back-of-house areas and ensure they remain clean and well-organized.
