Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is seeking an Administrative Professional to maintain housekeeping records, payroll-related sheets, and reporting. The role requires strong Microsoft Office skills and a courteous, confidential approach to handling guest and staff information.

The position supports Housekeeping with daily tasks, inventory, and coordination of end-of-shift reporting. Weekend/holiday shifts may be required, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and department meetings.

Qualifications

  • Minimum six months administrative experience and/or customer services role with consistent guest interaction and guest resolution responsibilities.
  • High school education required, college degree preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Payroll by maintaining Housekeeping Time Edit Sheets, obtaining signatures for the Time Detail with Audit Trail.
  • Prepare New Hire paperwork.
  • Submit end of shift report.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Management.

Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel

The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

JOB PURPOSE

To maintain the organization and timely completion of all administrative functions of Housekeeping.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist with Payroll by maintaining Housekeeping Time Edit Sheets, obtaining signatures for the Time Detail with Audit Trail.
  • Is courteous, tactful, and helpful, but firm in enforcing hotel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares morning reports and researches information for associate and guest follow up.
  • Creates and maintains the highest standards of Housekeeping at all times, being professional in attitude, appearance, and application.
  • Maintain the issue prevention tracker.
  • Maintain the productivity tracker.
  • Maintain the inspection tracker.
  • Post inspection and productivity updates weekly.
  • Assist with inventory, purchasing, and receiving supplies.
  • Participate in weekly walkthroughs, maintain, and distribute detailed notes for follow up.
  • Prepare New Hire paperwork.
  • Assist with Shoes for Crews, orders, returns, and exchanges.
  • Submit end of shift report.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by DOR, DOH, ADOHs.
  • Gathers and organizes all materials for End of Month reports including checkbook audits and CARE completion reports.
  • Ensures that all filing systems are maintained according to specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Participate in Weekly Resume meeting and Resume Recaps.
  • Participate in OST Meetings and send recaps.
  • Update Department Information Board Weekly.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum six months administrative experience and/or customer services role with consistent guest interaction and guest resolution responsibilities. Hotel experience strongly preferred.
  • High school education required, college degree preferred.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers. This includes via email, telephone and two way radio.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations, while maintaining a calm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on requests and needs in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Customer service oriented with a desire to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems (intermediate computer skills with proficiency in Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive matters.
  • Ability to use various office equipment, including but not limited to, calculators, photocopiers and facsimile machines.
  • Position requires the ability to sit and engage in repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for extended periods of time or for an entire shift.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • Requires bending, reaching overhead, kneeling and use of stairs. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS
  • Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance. Requires bending, reaching overhead, kneeling and use of stairs. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
