Job summary

TradeWinds Island Resorts, part of the Highgate Hotels group, seeks a Housekeeping Manager to lead the department with attentiveness, efficiency, and guest focus, ensuring a clean, safe environment and cost-conscious operations.

You will supervise housekeeping staff, conduct training, manage schedules, inspect rooms and public areas, and collaborate with other departments to uphold Highgate standards throughout the hotel.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive hotel-related experience or a 4-year degree, or a 2-year degree with 1+ years of related experience.
• Must be proficient in Windows, spreadsheets and word processing.
• Long hours and physical work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train Housekeeping staff to Highgate standards.
• Balance payroll and schedule housekeeping personnel.
• Inspect rooms daily and coordinate with supervisors.
• Respond to guest requests, problems and emergencies promptly.
• Ensure public areas and guest rooms meet cleanliness standards.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and assist in purchases.
