Job summary

Highgate Hotels, LP seeks a Senior Housekeeping Manager for TradeWinds Island Resort in Saint Pete Beach, FL. The role administers the Housekeeping department, coordinating policies and operations to ensure guest comfort and hotel cleanliness.

You will supervise staff, train teams, manage rosters, and uphold safety standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience at this premier gulf coast resort.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree; or a 2-year college degree and related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Medium work - up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently.
• Effective verbal and written communication with staff and guests.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to hotel standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements procedures to govern housekeeping activities and policies.
• Trains, directs, coordinates, and evaluates housekeeping staff.
• Delegates daily assignments to Assistant Housekeeper and monitors performance.
• Oversees staff schedules and room forecast to manage occupancy.
• Ensures safety regulations are followed and health policies are observed.
• Sets up procedures for smooth department operation and follow-up.
• Supervises daily cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.
• Supervises office staff and managers within housekeeping.
• Ensures new employees are oriented and entered into timekeeping.
