Best Western Apalach Inn in Apalachicola, FL, is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to lead all housekeeping operations and supervise room attendants and laundry staff. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces meet the highest cleanliness standards and brand expectations, while coordinating with front desk and maintenance for smooth room turnovers.

The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to train and manage a team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of management experience in housekeeping is preferred; training can be provided for the right candidate.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Hire, train, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff including room attendants and laundry personnel.
• Conduct regular room and property inspections to ensure cleanliness standards and brand expectations are met.
• Monitor and control inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; place orders as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping services.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations at all times.
• Collaborate with front desk and maintenance teams to ensure timely room turnovers and maintenance issue resolution.
• Maintain clear and accurate records for inspections, lost & found, staff performance, and supply usage.
• Lead by example with a hands‑on approach, stepping in to assist with cleaning duties during high‑volume periods.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, administering disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Foster a positive team environment focused on guest satisfaction, efficiency, and accountability.
